TRAUMA-RELATED INJURIES

"Healing does not mean the trauma never existed. It means the trauma no longer controls us."

Joint Scuba & Therapy Services

At Dive Into Recovery, we assist active-duty military and veterans in overcoming trauma-related injuries through scuba diving. Our mission is to provide a unique therapeutic experience that promotes healing, resilience, and recovery for those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

We recognize that the effects of trauma can be debilitating and impact every aspect of a person's life. That's why we have created a program that combines the healing power of scuba diving with mental health therapy to help our members overcome their trauma-related injuries.

Scuba diving has been shown to have a calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body. The weightlessness, rhythmic breathing, and the sound of bubbles create a sense of calm and relaxation that can be difficult to replicate on land. Coupled with mental health therapy, scuba diving can help our members physically and emotionally heal.

Our experienced scuba instructors work closely with our mental health professionals to create a safe, supportive environment that promotes healing and recovery. Our members receive individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, and we work with them to identify and address the underlying issues contributing to their trauma-related injuries.

Every service member and veteran deserves access to the care and supports they need to live their best life. That's why our program is provided at no cost to our members, and we rely on the generosity of our donors and volunteers to make it all possible.

At Dive Into Recovery, we are committed to helping our members overcome their trauma-related injuries and regain control of their lives. We are honored to serve those who have served our country, and we believe that anything is possible with the proper support and resources.

Therapy Program

Dive Into Recovery provides mental health services to active-duty military and veterans struggling with trauma-related injuries. We believe in taking a comprehensive approach to care, including mental health therapy and scuba diving.

It is important to note that our mental health services do not replace the participant's mental health practitioner. Instead, we work collaboratively with their existing mental health team to ensure that they receive continued care and support. Our mental health services are designed to complement their current treatment plan and provide additional support as they work toward their goals.

We understand the importance of measuring progress and providing feedback to our members. That's why we offer various psychometric assessments before and after the program to help us understand the effectiveness of our services and track our members' progress over time. These assessments are designed to provide feedback to our members and their mental health team and help us identify areas where we can improve our program.

Our mental health professionals are trained in various evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. We work closely with our members to develop personalized treatment plans that address their needs and goals. Our services are designed to be flexible and adaptable to the unique needs of each individual.

At Dive Into Recovery, mental health is critical to overall well-being. We are committed to providing our members the support and resources to achieve their goals and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
